The company previously produced horizontal stabilizers for the F-22 in the early 2000s. Qarbon said its composite manufacturing base and long-standing relationship with Lockheed Martin support the requirements of the sustainment work.
The F-22 remains one of the most advanced fighter aircraft in service. Qarbon said keeping the fleet mission ready is a key priority as the aircraft continues to support U.S. defense missions.

The award adds another program to Qarbon’s expanding defense portfolio. The company has supported U.S. defense programs for decades, producing structures and assemblies for fixed-wing aircraft, rotorcraft and space platforms.
Qarbon said defense is central to its business and future growth. The company has been investing in expanded manufacturing capacity and adding defense work across its facilities.
Headquartered in Red Oak, Texas, Qarbon manufactures composite components and assemblies for commercial and military aircraft and spacecraft. It operates nearly two million square feet of factory space across sites in Red Oak, Milledgeville, Georgia, and Rayong, Thailand.
The company said its manufacturing capabilities cover component fabrication through large-scale assembly. Qarbon also cited proprietary thermoplastics technologies, relationships with major OEM customers and a diversified portfolio across commercial, defense and business jet platforms.
