American Rheinmetall Systems (ARS) will now operate under the unified brand of American Rheinmetall, aligning with a broader strategy to streamline operations and enhance collaboration across the company’s U.S. defence portfolio. The transition aims to strengthen the company’s position as a leading defence partner by integrating ARS’s capabilities into a more connected and capable enterprise.

The change does not affect any existing contracts, programmes, or services provided by American Rheinmetall Systems. Customers will continue to receive the same high level of support, now backed by a larger and more integrated organisation.

“American Rheinmetall Systems has long been a cornerstone of Rheinmetall’s U.S. operations proudly operating in Maine where we are committed to remaining and growing,” said Matt Warnick, CEO of American Rheinmetall. “ARS has a deep legacy of innovation and expertise that will continue to thrive while new opportunities for synergy and growth will arise for the Biddeford facility as part of the larger American Rheinmetall enterprise.”

The Biddeford team brings decades of experience in electronic mission systems, including EO/IR technologies, remote weapon station components, counter-UAS solutions, and airburst ammunition programming units. These capabilities support U.S. Armed Forces modernisation priorities and now further expand the technological base of the unified American Rheinmetall brand.

“Bringing ARS into the core of American Rheinmetall reinforces our commitment to delivering solutions for combat readiness as a prime OEM and Tier 1 supplier focused on Army modernization and American Manufacturing,” said Jason Atkinson, President of American Rheinmetall.

This integration marks a significant step in American Rheinmetall’s continued expansion, adding scale and synergy across its U.S. operations. The broader Rheinmetall family includes sites in Maine, Michigan, Ohio, Arkansas, and Virginia, reflecting the company’s growing footprint and long-term commitment to U.S. defence manufacturing and innovation.
