Saab has received a SEK 460 million order from Lithuania for Carl-Gustaf M4 weapons and training equipment. Deliveries under the order are planned between 2026 and 2029.

The order is part of a newly signed contract between Saab and Lithuania covering Carl-Gustaf M4 systems, sub-calibre adapters for training ammunition and Carl-Gustaf Outdoor Trainers. The agreement is valid for ten years and includes potential options that could bring the total value to SEK 640 million.

The contract also includes cooperation with Lithuania’s defence industry in line with Lithuanian regulations. Saab said the agreement will support both operational capability and training for Lithuanian forces.

“We are proud to continue providing the Lithuanian forces with the highly effective capabilities of the Carl-Gustaf weapon together with our training equipment, enabling the soldiers to prepare for and carry out their missions safely and with confidence,” said Görgen Johansson, head of Saab’s business area Dynamics.

The Carl-Gustaf recoilless rifle is a man-portable, multi-role weapon system designed for dismounted soldiers. Saab said the system is intended to help troops address multiple challenges on the modern battlefield.

The company said the Carl-Gustaf system continues to evolve in response to user and market requirements. Its training systems are designed to support advanced and collective skills training across a range of operational scenarios.
