The management of Norway defence industry company Nammo has approved an investment of NOK 260 million (about EUR 24 million) in machinery and production equipment to increase 155 mm artillery shell production. The purchase of machinery is necessary both to modernize existing artillery production lines as well as improve capacity, the company said.

Nammo has approved an investment of NOK 260 million (about EUR 24 million) in machinery and production equipment to increase 155 mm artillery shell production.

The Norwegian defence industry company NAMMO will soon receive a huge order for production of the 155 mm artillery ammunition for the Norwegian Armed Forces. The details of the future agreement are being negotiated but Norwegian defence and finance ministers have already announced that the deal will be worth around NOK 2.6 billion (EUR 242.3 million).

French defence industry company Nexter Systems has received an order from Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic for an additional ten CEASAR (Camion équipé d’un système d’artillerie) 155 mm self-propelled howitzers. The order value is EUR 77 million.
