Turkish land systems manufacturer Otokar has signed a significant EUR 857 million contract with Romtehnica, the procurement arm of the Romanian Ministry of Defence (MoD). The agreement entails the supply of 1,059 COBRA II 4x4 tactical wheeled light armoured vehicles, with production to be shared between Türkiye and Romania.

Turkey’s leading land systems manufacturer Otokar has signed a Joint Venture (JV) Agreement with Romanian defence company Automecanica S.A. to produce COBRA II 4x4 armoured vehicles in Romania.
