Northrop Grumman begins production of E-2D Advanced Hawkeye aircraft for French Navy

Northrop Grumman Corporation has officially commenced production of the first E-2D Advanced Hawkeye aircraft for the French Navy.

Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) has announced a major milestone for the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye programme following the successful completion of the Delta System Software Configuration (DSSC)-6 Preliminary Design Review (PDR). Conducted in partnership with Northrop Grumman Corporation, the review represents a critical step toward delivering significant upgrades to the aircraft.

Northrop Grumman has announced its intent to strengthen its partnership with Poland by offering the advanced E-2D Advanced Hawkeye aircraft. This move, aimed at enhancing Poland’s command and control capabilities, follows the signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with Polish companies Exence and the Polish Air Force Institute of Technology (ITWL).
