Brazilian Air Force order two GM200 MM/A air surveillance radars from Thales

Under the aegis of the French Ministry of the Armed Forces, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence signed a contract for the delivery of a second complete Thales Air Defence system to help protect Ukraine.

The Dutch Ministry of Defence is significantly boosting its air surveillance capabilities by acquiring seven more Ground Master 200 Multi-Mission Compact radars (GM200 MM/C) from Thales, a leading French defence company. This order, facilitated by the Command Materiel and IT (COMMIT) of the Dutch military, builds on a previous acquisition of nine systems in 2019, showcasing continued trust and collaboration between Thales and the Dutch Armed Forces.

The Moldovan Ministry of Defence announced the receipt of Thales Ground Master 200 radar system from France on December 20.

The Danish Ministry of Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisation (DALO) signs an agreement with the Netherlands Defence procurement agency COMMIT (Commando Materieel en IT) for the acquisition of five Thales Ground Master 200 Multi-Mission Compact radars. Providing enhanced situational awareness, operational superiority, fire support and weapon location capabilities, the radar will support the Danish Air Force in air surveillance and air defence missions.

Thales to reinforce Denmark’s air surveillance and defence with five Ground Master 200 radars.

On Wednesday, 1 February 2023, French defence minister Sébastien Lecornu and his Ukrainian counterpart Oleksiy Reznikov met at the Thales site in Limours, south of Paris, a centre of excellence for air defence in Europe, to sign a contract for the delivery of a complete short-range air defence system, including a Ground Master 200 radar, to help protect Ukraine.
