Germany is set to acquire 18 Leopard 2A8 tanks and 12 Panzerhaubitze 2000 self-propelled howitzers to replenish its depleted stocks caused by deliveries to Ukraine, according to a member of the parliamentary budget committee. The purchase was approved on Wednesday and aims to address the supply gap created by previous shipments to Ukraine during the Russian invasion.
