EM&E Group offers, through the EMOC, a system that combines mobility, precision, speed of response, and technological autonomy in a single platform. This development is designed to meet the demands of contemporary conflicts, where the ability to deploy, open fire, and leave the area in the shortest possible time is a decisive factor for survival and mission success.

In-barrel inertial navigation: precision without GPS

One of the primary differentiating elements of the EMOC is the integration of the Inertial Navigation System (INS) directly onto the mortar barrel. This configuration allows ballistic calculations to be performed from the exact exit point of the projectile, significantly increasing system accuracy and reducing errors associated with external references.

This capability is particularly relevant in scenarios where GNSS/GPS signals are degraded, jammed, or completely denied due to electronic warfare actions. It maintains the system’s operational capability and precision without relying on external navigation aids.

Deployment and retraction in less than 20 seconds

Survival on the battlefield depends largely on the ability to reduce time spent in position. Under this concept, EMOC has been designed to execute “Shoot & Scoot” maneuvers, allowing full deployment and retraction in less than 20 seconds.

The system is capable of firing three rounds in less than a minute upon arriving at the position, significantly reducing vulnerability to detection systems and counter-battery fire.

As an additional measure of operational safety, EMOC incorporates manual emergency operation modes for both aiming and system retraction, ensuring mission continuity in unforeseen situations.

The lightest 120 mm mortar carrier on the market

EMOC positions itself as the lightest 120 mm mortar carrier system available on the market. Its design prevents the transfer of firing energy to the vehicle chassis, preserving the structural integrity of the platform and maintaining full operational readiness.

This architecture allows the integration of heavy indirect fire capabilities into light tactical platforms without the need for complex structural modifications, keeping their mobility performance intact.

Furthermore, EMOC offers compatibility with both 81 mm and 120 mm mortars, operating both calibers at their maximum rate of fire and with smart ammunition developed by EM&E Group, which is capable of achieving accuracy with an error margin of less than 10 meters.

EMOC represents EM&E Group’s industrial and technological capability to develop comprehensive defense solutions without relying on third parties for critical system elements.
The company internally integrates the disciplines of mechanical, electronic, software, control systems, and automation engineering. This allows it to adapt each configuration to the operational requirements of its clients with high levels of flexibility and short implementation times.
