The event was held as part of Exercise Baltic Trust and involved more than 1,000 participants from Ukraine and 25 NATO countries.
LCI-X Crucible 3-26 marked the third phase of the series and moved the experimentation beyond individual counter-UAV cells.
The exercise tested how several cells could operate across tactical formations and connect with NATO command-and-control systems.
Before the event, Ukrainian specialists helped revise the scenario to reflect frontline conditions, including adjustments to UAV flight parameters.
During the active phase, JATEC experts monitored and coordinated the opposing-force crews responsible for simulated drone attacks.
Their oversight ensured that the crews followed the assigned flight plans and threat profiles throughout the exercise.
JATEC said the involvement of Ukrainian personnel with combat experience made the experimentation more closely aligned with the operational use of drones.
The centre has made the systematic participation of combat-experienced Ukrainian service personnel a priority in joint work with NATO.
This cooperation strengthens Allied counter-drone capabilities while accelerating the Defence Forces of Ukraine’s interoperability with NATO systems and alignment with Alliance standards.
Ukrainian personnel previously contributed battlefield experience to the Vistula Vanguard 26 wargame, another event co-organised by JATEC.
