The ministry said the Dovbush T40 has sufficient range to reach targets beyond the Urals and in Russian Siberia. It can remain airborne for more than 24 hours and has a wingspan of almost five metres.
The aircraft can conduct one-way attack missions or release munitions over designated targets. Its stated target set includes facilities, equipment and personnel.
The Dovbush T40 combines a low radar signature with resistance to electronic warfare. It is powered by a high-performance engine equipped with an electronic fuel-injection system.
The ministry said the aircraft met its stated tactical and technical specifications during testing. It also said the design incorporates several new technological solutions.
The system was developed by a Ukrainian manufacturer with experience in unmanned aircraft production. Its Dovbush T20 and Kotyhoroshko systems have been used on the battlefield since 2022 and have recorded some of the highest effectiveness rates, according to the ministry.
The Dovbush T20 was developed for medium-range reconnaissance, real-time artillery fire adjustment and precision strikes. Battlefield feedback was used to develop the Dovbush T40 as a longer-range and more powerful strike platform.
