The operations formed part of what the ministry calls “middle strike”, aimed at disrupting Russian military activity behind the front line. Its account describes attacks on the facilities needed to launch drones, coordinate troops, move supplies and return damaged equipment to service.
Ukrainian forces hit drone warehouses in Berdiansk, Sievierodonetsk and Sverdlove, while damage was confirmed to four drone shelters near Hvardiiske in Russian-occupied Crimea, the ministry said. On 28 October, strikes near Navlya in Russia’s Bryansk region hit a Geran drone warehouse, a drone operating site and a fuel storage facility.
The ministry said these attacks reduced Russia’s ability to stockpile and launch attack drones against Ukraine, including civilian infrastructure. The operations targeted both drone storage and the facilities supporting their deployment.
The air defence systems struck included a Buk-M3 in the Zaporizhzhia region, a Pantsir-S1 in Russia’s Krasnodar territory and a Tor-2M in Russia’s Kursk region. The ministry also listed hits on 10 radar stations and six electronic warfare stations in the Bryansk, Kursk and Belgorod regions.
It said damage to those systems created gaps in Russian radar coverage and weakened air defences. That disruption, according to the ministry, expanded opportunities for Ukrainian forces to operate unmanned systems.
Command and command-observation posts were hit in the Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions, as well as inside Russia. Separate strikes targeted communications infrastructure near Donetsk and Melitopol and two telecommunications towers in Crimea.
Attacks on ammunition, fuel and military supply depots extended across those four regions and Crimea. Ukrainian forces also struck a railway bridge over the Unecha River in Russia’s Bryansk region, with the ministry saying the attack was intended to hinder deliveries of ammunition, fuel and equipment.
The account recorded eight strikes on repair facilities, including a base in the Kursk region servicing Iskander-M launchers and transporter-loader vehicles. Another facility near Sukhodilsk repaired motor vehicles and armoured equipment belonging to Russia’s Yug grouping of forces.
The ministry also listed two concentrations of weapons and military equipment and 36 troop concentrations among the targets hit during October. Personnel from Russia’s Rubikon drone unit in the Zaporizhzhia region were among those targeted.
