Danish radar specialist Weibel Scientific has reported a 42% increase in revenue for the 2024/25 fiscal year, reaching DKK 818 million compared to DKK 576 million the year before. The company also secured new orders exceeding DKK 1.5 billion, supported by strong global demand and a growing order book.

CEO Peter Røpke, who joined in December 2024, highlighted the company’s strategic momentum: “42% revenue growth reflects not only market dynamics but also our ability to deliver world-class technology.” He added, “With unique radar technology and a growing market, we are well positioned to fulfil our owners’ ambitions.”

Approximately one-third of the year’s order intake stems from a strategic contract with Kongsberg, signed in May 2025. The company now aims for more than DKK 2 billion in revenue by 2030, with further expansion planned across key global markets.

Weibel’s radar systems are in use in over 40 countries, with 99% of revenue generated from exports. The XENTA radar system, which supports both civilian and military drone detection, has become a key driver of international growth.

New technological developments, such as the company’s expansion into C-band frequency radars, are expected to open further long-term opportunities. “The changing geopolitical landscape and higher defence budgets create many potential collaborations in Europe, Asia, and North America,” said Røpke.

To meet growing demand, Weibel expanded its workforce from 373 to 460 full-time employees and plans to hire more than 150 additional staff in the coming year. Roles will span engineering, software development, production, project management, sales, and administration.

Despite a decline in EBITDA margin from 26.1% to 17.2% due to strategic investments and project portfolio adjustments, the company remains optimistic. For fiscal year 2025/26, Weibel expects revenue to grow by 30–40% and aims to restore a normalised EBITDA margin above 20%.

“I see the attention that the defence industry is experiencing as an opportunity to strengthen the company and ensure that we can attract and retain the right competencies to exploit the great potential,” concluded Røpke.
