Danish radar technology specialist Weibel Scientific has announced a new contract to supply two of its high-performance 47 dB tracking radars to an undisclosed customer. The state-of-the-art radars are tailored for flexible deployment on both land and sea, enabling diverse operational capabilities for long-range tracking.

According to the company, the radars can be mounted on a mobile trailer platform or a deck adapter, which includes full motion compensation to stabilise performance on seagoing vessels. This dual capability ensures that the radars will be effective in various environments, offering seamless adaptability across platforms.

The deal marks a strategic milestone for Weibel Scientific as the company strengthens its presence in the growing market for instrumentation radars. These advanced systems are increasingly sought after to measure the performance of complex long-range weapon systems under development worldwide, as well as to track satellites and other space-based objects.

“This is a significant and strategic win for Weibel,” the company stated in the press release, highlighting the importance of the contract in expanding its reach within high-performance radar markets.
