Airbus Helicopters extends support for U.S. Coast Guard MH-65 fleet until 2037

By Defence Industry Europe

Airbus Helicopters has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the United States Coast Guard (USCG) to continue supporting its fleet of MH-65 Dolphin helicopters through 2037. The agreement ensures ongoing maintenance, spare parts supply, and technical assistance to sustain the operational readiness of the aircraft.

Under the terms of the MOU, Airbus Helicopters will also provide fleet modernisation and engineering services. These efforts aim to enhance the longevity and performance of the MH-65 helicopters, which play a key role in search and rescue, law enforcement, and disaster response missions.

Bart Reijnen, President of Airbus Helicopters in the U.S. and Head of the North America region, highlighted the importance of the partnership. He emphasised that maintaining the MH-65 fleet ensures the Coast Guard can continue safeguarding coastlines and carrying out life-saving operations.

The MH-65 Dolphin has been a core asset of the USCG’s aviation fleet for over four decades. With this extended collaboration, Airbus Helicopters and the Coast Guard aim to sustain high levels of operational capability across the service’s mission areas.
