By Defence Industry Europe

Andøya Spaceport, located in northern Norway, has announced a strategic partnership with Exolaunch to enhance its launch integration capabilities. The collaboration aims to establish a state-of-the-art satellite processing facility within the Spaceport Village at Nordmela, supporting the growing small-satellite market in Europe.

The spaceport’s location at 69°N provides direct access to polar and sun-synchronous orbits (SSO), making it a key site for satellite launches. By leveraging Exolaunch’s expertise in rideshare missions and deployment services, Andøya aims to optimise its new integration facility for efficiency and user-focused operations.

Andøya Spaceport President, Ingun Berget, highlighted the importance of Exolaunch’s experience in over 30 missions, which will contribute to designing a facility tailored to industry needs. She emphasised that the collaboration will ensure the spaceport becomes a leading hub for small-satellite deployment in Europe.

Exolaunch CEO Robert W. Sproles described the partnership as an exciting step in the company’s expansion within Scandinavia. He praised Andøya’s world-class infrastructure and prime location, noting its potential to support cost-efficient and flexible small-satellite missions.
