At the centre of the initiative is B-Strike, a new capability line-up for future operational and pre-strategic conventional strike missions. ArianeGroup said the framework is also intended to reinforce Europe’s technological and industrial sovereignty in advanced defence systems.

The company is drawing on decades of experience in ballistic technologies. This includes know-how acquired through strategic programmes such as the French M51 ballistic missile.
ArianeGroup said this background enables it to contribute to future conventional long-range strike solutions. The intended systems would combine performance, reliability and operational adaptability.
The initiative also reflects a broader ambition to strengthen a sovereign European industrial framework. ArianeGroup said this framework should be able to design, produce and sustain advanced ballistic systems tailored to a wide range of operational needs.
The announcement was presented alongside Thales and Soframe during Eurosatory 2026. ArianeGroup said the presentation highlighted the value of complementary industrial expertise in supporting Europe’s defence readiness and strategic autonomy.
The companies positioned the initiative within an increasingly demanding security environment. The framework is intended to support Europe’s ability to develop and sustain advanced deep-strike capabilities through its own industrial base.
ArianeGroup said the collaboration demonstrates its commitment to delivering cutting-edge defence technologies. It also said the effort contributes to the resilience and sovereignty of Europe’s defence ecosystem.
