The inauguration of the facility took place in the presence of German Bundestag members Florian Hahn and Dr Andreas Lenz, highlighting the strategic and political significance of autonomous defence systems. Their participation underscores Germany’s commitment to technological innovation and the strengthening of European defence capabilities.
Marc Wietfeld, co-founder and CEO of ARX Robotics, emphasised the importance of scaling up production to enhance European strategic autonomy and defence resilience. He noted that European armed forces face structural disadvantages in personnel and equipment, and autonomous systems have the potential to bridge this capability gap if produced at scale.
The expansion enables ARX Robotics to increase its manufacturing capacity, strengthen defence partnerships, and advance innovation in military robotics. Over the past six months, the company has boosted its production output by 30 times, positioning itself as a key player in the European defence sector.
ARX Robotics has also achieved another major milestone with the largest deployment of Western-designed unmanned ground vehicles in Ukraine. This delivery reinforces the company’s commitment to supporting allied nations with mission-critical robotic solutions, enhancing operational capabilities in modern warfare.
With the new production facility now operational, ARX Robotics is poised to further advance autonomous defence technology and contribute to global security efforts. The company aims to provide cutting-edge robotic systems that help address evolving military challenges and ensure technological leadership in the defence sector.
