ASELSAN hosted President of the Republic of Poland Karol Nawrocki at its facilities in Ankara. The visit focused on advanced defence technologies, ongoing cooperation and the role of industrial collaboration in strengthening allied capabilities.

President Nawrocki was accompanied during the visit by Haluk Görgün, Secretary of Turkish Defence Industries, and Ahmet Akyol, ASELSAN President & CEO. The delegation received a comprehensive overview of ASELSAN’s defence technologies, with particular focus on electronic warfare systems, air defence solutions, ongoing joint projects and serial production capabilities.

The programme included a tour of ASELSAN’s production facilities and manufacturing halls. The visit gave the delegation first-hand insight into the company’s high-volume production infrastructure and technology-driven manufacturing processes.

ASELSAN said the visit highlighted its ability to deliver interoperable, scalable and operationally proven solutions aligned with NATO requirements. The company also presented its longstanding heritage and experience in the defence sector.

ASELSAN’s engagement with Poland has recently been reinforced by a major export agreement for electronic warfare systems. The agreement was signed in December 2025 and was valued at approximately USD 410 million.

ASELSAN said the agreement reflected confidence in its high-technology, NATO-compatible solutions. It also said the deal showed the company’s ability to support the evolving requirements of allied forces.

President Nawrocki stated that Türkiye has one of NATO’s strongest armies. He also emphasised that cooperation between the two countries’ industries is indispensable, saying collaboration between Türkiye and Poland is very important because both sides remain closely attached and have been strategic partners for decades.

ASELSAN President & CEO Ahmet Akyol said: “It was an honor to present to President Nawrocki our advanced technologies developed for the requirements of the modern battlefield, as well as potential opportunities for future cooperation. As ASELSAN, we will continue to deliver trusted technologies to friendly and allied nations while strengthening our presence in international markets.”

The visit took place as ASELSAN presents itself as Türkiye’s leading defence company and Europe’s fifth most valuable defence firm by market capitalisation. The company framed the meeting as part of its wider international engagement with friendly and allied nations.
