First four F-35 fighters arrive in Denmark

By Defence Industry Europe

On September 14, the first four Lockheed Martin F-35A Lightning II multi-role aircraft arrived in Denmark. After their flight from the United States, the fighters landed at the Skrydstrup base of the Royal Danish Air Force.

The Danish Ministry of Defence has ordered a total of 27 F-35A fighters from the American defense and aerospace giant Lockheed Martin. According to the ministry, all aircraft are to be delivered to Denmark by the end of 2027.

The Danish ministry announced that the second batch of F-35A fighters will be delivered to Denmark in autumn next year instead of spring, as was originally planned.
