GRiD has won a new contract for the supply of GRiDCASE 2530 Rugged Tablets to the Brazilian Army for the Guarani Vehicle Programme.

The contract is for the supply of 410 x GRiDCASE 2530 tablets with potential for further orders to support the Brazilian Army and its fleet of vehicles.

Each tablet will be manufactured and tested by experts at our dedicated facility in the UK.

The GRiDCASE 2530 is a 10.1” military tablet, which is designed and built to withstand harsh environments and is suited for both deployed applications and fixed in-vehicle use.

As with all GRiD products, the GRiDCASE 2530 is fully qualified to meet a number of military standards, including MIL-STD-810G for environment; This covers a number of rigorous tests including a 26 drops onto every side, face, corner and edge. The GRiDCASE 2530 rugged tablet is also qualified to MIL-STD-461G for EMC, Ground Army Limits, and has a very low EMC profile.

Long-term reliability in the harshest environments, coupled with ability to be configured with the exact connectors, pinouts and mounting solution for the vehicle, makes the GRiDCASE 2530 the perfect solution.

“We are so excited to be working with the Brazilian Army and look forward to supporting them with their impressive Guarani Vehicles. We hope this is just the start of a long-term relationship with the Brazilian Army”, says Ben Walker, Sales Director of GRiD.

This international contract is the latest success for GRiD Defence Systems. In May, GRiD won a major contract to supply its GRiDCASE 1513 to BAE Systems for the Ministry of Defence’s (MOD) FALCON programme.
