Hanwha Aerospace and Milrem Robotics partner to develop robotic combat vehicles

Hanwha Aerospace and Milrem Robotics have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on the development and global promotion of Robotic Combat Vehicles (RCVs). The agreement aims to advance ground robotics solutions by combining Milrem’s expertise in autonomous systems with Hanwha’s extensive experience in aerospace and defence.

 

As part of this partnership, both companies will work together to develop tracked RCVs designed to meet the requirements of military customers. The goal is to enhance the vehicles’ capabilities, ensuring they provide effective support for mechanised units in modern combat scenarios.

In addition to joint development, Hanwha Aerospace and Milrem Robotics will execute global marketing campaigns to promote their robotic solutions. By leveraging their respective networks and industry knowledge, they aim to expand the adoption of advanced autonomous systems in international defence markets.

Kuldar Väärsi, CEO of Milrem Robotics, stated that the collaboration will accelerate the creation of innovative robotic solutions tailored to the evolving needs of armed forces. Michael Coulter, President & CEO (nominee) of Hanwha Global Defense, highlighted the partnership’s potential to introduce new capabilities for addressing rapidly changing combat environments.
