Indra said MSPO has strategic importance beyond that of a conventional defense exhibition because Poland and nearby countries face hybrid threats and recurring incidents affecting critical infrastructure, industrial facilities and surveillance systems. The company linked those pressures to the region’s direct support for Ukraine against Russian aggression.
A central element of Indra’s display will be an integrated, multilayered air defense and counter-drone architecture designed to detect and neutralize large numbers of threats at the same time. The company said the system is intended to address saturation attacks requiring simultaneous detection, tracking and response.
The architecture includes AirDef, Indra’s air defense command-and-control system. Indra said the platform offers a high level of interoperability with a wide range of sensors and other systems.
Indra will also present its C-UAS counter-drone system, which the company said has demonstrated effectiveness in operational missions. Its command-and-control center is designed to integrate sensors and effectors already operated by individual armed forces.
The broader air defense architecture can also operate with Indra’s land-based electronic warfare systems. The company will display radar and communications electronic warfare stations at MSPO as part of capabilities intended to support what it describes as a drone wall protecting Europe’s border.
Indra will also bring its ALR-400 airborne radar warning receiver and InShield directed infrared countermeasure system to Kielce. InShield is designed to protect aircraft from air-to-air and surface-to-air missile attacks, including threats from MANPADS.
The InShield system has already been installed on the A400M military transport aircraft. Indra said it is designed to protect a range of aircraft, including special-mission platforms such as the A330 MRTT.
Another system on display will be the NEMUS active electronically scanned array radar. The sensor is designed for integration into counter-drone systems and active protection systems for land platforms and was recently selected by Rheinmetall for integration into its StrikeShield APS.
Indra will also present simulation systems for training pilots and crews of tanks and other military vehicles. The company said sustained training remains a decisive factor in the success of military operations.
Indra already has an established role in Poland and is working on programs to modernize the country’s air bases with advanced radars. Those systems are intended to support operations by latest-generation fighter aircraft.
The company said its MSPO presence comes as Poland and other countries in the region make major defense investments and seek partners capable of providing advanced technologies. Indra said such cooperation can also support local industrial development, technology transfer and joint research and development.
Indra said its preferred cooperation model goes beyond conventional technology transfer. The approach is based on creating sovereign industrial capabilities, strengthening local industry, jointly developing technologies and products, and offering those capabilities together in third-country markets.
