The demonstrations included multi-domain assured communications, Link 16 integration on UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters and the Deceptor modular electronic warfare payload. L3Harris also worked with ARX Robotics on an integrated counter-unmanned aerial system capability using its CORVUS-RAVEN technology.
“Our wide range of open system defense technologies have modern, high-volume manufacturing and resilient supply chains to support their rapid delivery into the hands of soldiers,” said Christopher Aebli, President, Communications & Spectrum Dominance, L3Harris. “Many of the capabilities we demonstrated at Project Convergence show our technology is ready to meet the demands of tomorrow, providing additional value to the U.S. government’s investments into software-defined and open-systems solutions.”
L3Harris said it is continuing to make progress on new Army requirements following its selection as a Next Generation Command and Control transport layer provider. The company linked that work to its broader demonstrations of interoperable communications and open-system technologies.
The company has also recently showcased capabilities during Ivy Mass, Lightning Surge and Operation Jailbreak. Its Wraith waveform and WESCAM MX-Series electro-optical/infrared sensor systems were validated as “jailbroken” during those events.
Project Convergence-Capstone 6 provided L3Harris with a venue to demonstrate technologies spanning communications, data links, electronic warfare and counter-UAS applications. The company said its systems are designed around software-defined and open-system approaches intended to support rapid delivery to U.S. soldiers.
