Lithuania increases assistance to Ukraine with new aid package

In a recent press release issued by the Lithuanian Ministry of National Defence, it was announced that Lithuania is set to provide Ukraine with an upcoming assistance package comprising drone jamming equipment, ammunition, military rations, and various other forms of aid. The commitment reflects Lithuania's ongoing support for Ukraine's security and stability.

Lithuanian Minister of National Defence, Arvydas  AnuÅ¡auskas, also expressed his endorsement for the European Union’s sanctions package, aimed at countering the evasion of sanctions through third countries. Emphasizing the importance of training Ukrainian troops, AnuÅ¡auskas highlighted the significant expansion in both the scale and number of instructors involved in Lithuania’s training assistance program.




 

Lithuania’s assistance to Ukraine has already reached a substantial total of nearly Eur 465 million. Alongside comprehensive training, Lithuania has supplied weaponry, equipment, medical care, rehabilitation services, and made contributions to international funds to bolster Ukraine’s capabilities throughout the year.

As Lithuania continues to extend its support to Ukraine, this diverse aid package underscores their commitment to Ukraine’s security and well-being, aiming to enhance stability in the region.
