The new plant will share the Graham site with a U.S. Army facility being built to manufacture TNT. Together, the projects will create a broader production campus capable of making several explosive formulations.
Nitradyn will design, construct and commission the IMX-104 facility under the contract. The company said the project would restore U.S. energetics capacity through modern explosives manufacturing and advanced defence engineering.
IMX-104 is a formulation comprising RDX, NTO and DNAN that is used in multiple defence applications. Nitradyn plans to manufacture all three constituent explosives at the site, along with HMX.
The plant is also expected to have spare production capacity for other formulations. That flexibility would give the site the ability to manufacture a wider range of energetic materials beyond its planned IMX-104 output.
“This contract is an investment in America’s ability to produce critical munitions,” Nitradyn President Braden Lusk said. “The incorporation of this project into the same site as the TNT project gives the Department of War a true advanced explosives manufacturing campus, with capability to produce a diverse range of formulations, and we look forward to bringing it all online.”

The award represents a major industrial project for Nitradyn, which was founded in 2025. The company was established to manufacture and supply explosives, propellants and energetic materials for defence and commercial customers.
