By Defence Industry Europe

On June 29, Norwegian Defence Materiel Agency (NDMA) and German vehicle specialist Flensburger Fahrzeugbau (FFG) have signed a contract for the procurement of eight WiSENT 2 Armoured Engineering Vehicles (AEVs) and three additional WiSENT 2 Armoured Recovery Vehicles (ARVs).

The delivery of these vehicles is scheduled between 2026 and 2027.

The approximate value of the contracts is EUR 29 million for the recovery armored vehicles (ARVs) and EUR 80 million for the engineering armored vehicles (AEVs).

The acquisition of these vehicles, as highlighted by Tomas Beck, Chief of Land Capabilities at NDMA, will greatly enhance the armoured support vehicle fleet of the Norwegian Armed Forces.
