The memorandum between PGZ and Artem was signed during the visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s visit to Warsaw.
The memorandum defines the principles of cooperation between PGZ and Artem in the production of 125mm tank ammunition.
In the near future, PGZ and Artem will launch new production lines for 125mm tank ammunition for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The localization of these new facilities will be jointly selected by both parties, PGZ said in a statement.
PGZ declared that it would provide the technology, know-how, and machinery necessary for the production of tank ammunition. The key role in this project will play the Mesko company (a subsidiary of PGZ) which is a manufacturer of various types of ammunition, rockets and missiles.
Mesko is also a manufacturer of Piorun man-portable air defence system (MANPADS) delivered to Ukraine by Poland’s government and proven in combat against the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
