Earlier in December, the president of Turkish Defence Industry Agency Ismair Demir posted a short video of the test of Roketesan’s Alka system on social media. According to information revealed by Roketsan, the Alka C-UAS system is capable to destroy drones with a laser weapon at a distance of up to 750 meters. It is also capable to interfere Mini and Micro UAVs with the electromagnetic jamming system at a range of up to 1 000 meters.

The laser weapon of Alka system can be effectively used to destroy improvised explosive devices (IED).

According to Roketsan, Alka C-UAS system works day and night. It also featured an automatic target detection and tracking system using artificial intelligence-assisted image processing.
