By Arie Egozi

Israeli sources say that the Russian help to Iran may result in more Iranian made weapon systems that will find their way to Teheran's proxies around the world.

The close military cooperation between Russia and Iran as an outcome of the war in Ukraine has according to the Israeli sources created a new “reality in the middle east”

According to the sources the hot line between Tel Aviv and Moscow used to alert the Russian forces in Syria , minutes before an attack on Iranian related targets in Syria may “not be used as before” .

Formally Israel has not commented on any change in the relations with Russia as related to the Israeli attacks on shipments of Iranian weapons on their way to Lebanon via Syria.

Russia has a negative position to the Israeli military actions in Gaza.

The Moscow Times quotes Russia’s ambassador to the United Nations that in a speech said that Israel has no right to self-defense against Hamas militants in Gaza.

Vasily Nebenzya used his speech at the special UN General Assembly session on Palestine to condemn Western “hypocrisy” over Palestinian civilian deaths amid their criticism of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

“The only thing [the West] can muster is continued pronouncements about Israel’s supposed right to self-defense. Although, as an occupying power, it does not have that power,” Nebenzya said.
