Saab to showcase comprehensive ground combat training solutions at I/ITSEC 2024

By Defence Industry Europe

Swedish defence and security company Saab is set to showcase its full suite of Ground Combat weapons training solutions at the I/ITSEC event in Orlando, Florida, from 2-6 December 2024. This marks the first time Saab will present its renowned Ground Combat weapons systems, including the AT4, Carl-Gustaf M4, and NLAW, as part of an indoor training solution.

The centrepiece of Saab’s exhibit is the Ground Combat Indoor Trainer, an innovative virtual training system designed to deliver highly realistic and cost-effective training for soldiers. “Within our Ground Combat Indoor Trainer, we have packed some of the most advanced technologies on offer in a training solution. By delivering outstanding realism beyond anything else on the market, we are making soldiers confident and ready for any challenge,” said Joakim Alhbin, head of Saab’s business unit Training and Simulation.

The Ground Combat Indoor Trainer accommodates training with Saab’s weapon systems as well as other small arms. It supports both individual and collective training scenarios, enhancing versatility and scalability for military training needs.

Complementing its indoor solutions, Saab will also display its established Outdoor Trainers, showcasing the company’s comprehensive approach to ground combat preparation. This year’s I/ITSEC exhibition represents a milestone in Saab’s mission to provide the most effective and advanced training solutions for ground combat forces.
