Elbit Systems announced that its U.S. subsidiary, Elbit Systems of America, has received a delivery order valued at approximately $212 million from the United States Army for the continued production of Enhanced Night Vision Goggle – Binocular systems. The company said deliveries under the contract will continue through 2028.

According to Elbit Systems, the U.S. Army has historically divided ENVG-B production between several suppliers. The company stated that Elbit Systems of America was the only prime contractor selected for this latest delivery order.

The ENVG-B system is designed to provide U.S. soldiers with enhanced visual and situational awareness capabilities for modern combat environments. The goggles combine high-resolution image intensification technology with thermal imaging to enable soldiers to detect, recognise and engage threats in low-light and no-light conditions.

Elbit Systems said the system also supports augmented reality overlays and passive targeting functions. According to the company, these capabilities are intended to improve survivability, mobility and operational effectiveness in a wide range of weather and visibility conditions.

Bezhalel Machlis, president and chief executive of Elbit Systems, said, “We are proud of Elbit America’s role as a trusted partner to the U.S. Armed Forces, delivering cutting-edge night vision systems.”

“The continuation of orders under the program originally awarded in 2023 is a strong testament to the performance and trust placed in our systems,” Machlis added. “This achievement reflects our ongoing commitment to innovation and our continued focus on developing technologies that provide our defense partners with the clarity and confidence they need to succeed in any environment.”

The company stated that the ENVG-B programme forms part of broader U.S. Army efforts to modernise soldier systems and improve operational capability in contested battlefield environments. Elbit Systems added that the latest award reflects continued demand for advanced night vision technologies designed to support combat operations under challenging conditions.
