Ukrainian Defense Industry (UDI), also known as Ukroboronprom, has signed an agreement with French company Thales International SAS to create a joint venture. The agreement was formalised during the Munich Security Conference and marks a new phase of cooperation in defence technology.

The joint venture will focus on developing advanced technological solutions and providing support in key defence areas. These include air defence, radar systems, electronic warfare, tactical communications, and electro-optical systems.

Oleh Huliak, CEO of Ukroboronprom, stated that the partnership would help strengthen Ukraine’s defence capabilities against Russian threats. He also highlighted the benefits for Ukraine’s defence industry, particularly in gaining experience with advanced technologies.
