To meet rising demand for critical defence systems, Anduril has invested over $75 million to expand and modernise its solid rocket motor facility in Mississippi. The upgraded plant is on track for completion in July 2025 and will support rapid manufacturing to supply the U.S. Navy fleet.
Unlike traditional batch production, Anduril’s approach uses single-piece flow manufacturing, where different production stages operate in parallel to increase efficiency and consistency. This method, supported by automation and data analytics, improves output quality and reduces costs across the board.
“These successful tests validate the advanced manufacturing technologies we’re bringing to the nation’s industrial base,” the company stated, underlining its commitment to innovation and agility. Anduril’s system eliminates production downtime by using specialised, continuously running stations, enabling a steady stream of high-quality rocket motors.
As an independent merchant supplier, Anduril Rocket Motor Systems is driving a new standard in hypersonic propulsion by proving that speed and cost-efficiency can coexist with performance. “This successful test firing demonstrates that innovation and efficiency can go hand in hand,” the company said, highlighting its role in expanding industrial capacity and enhancing national readiness.
