The United Kingdom and Jordan remain committed partners in the international coalition established over ten years ago to defeat Daesh wherever it operates. The Jordanian Armed Forces continue to engage in actions to degrade Daesh’s capabilities and reduce regional threats.
These operations highlight the close cooperation and interoperability between British and Jordanian forces working towards shared security goals. “Our aviators are fully aware of the critical role they play in supporting our Jordanian Allies as they carry out a difficult task in a challenging environment,” said the Deputy Air Component Commander (Middle East).
He added, “Working side by side with our Allies and Partners in the region builds trust, understanding and ensures we are ready to tackle any threat to regional stability.” RAF units in the region are operating under Operation Shader, conducting regular armed reconnaissance patrols to prevent Daesh from re-establishing influence.
