The AVDS-1790 engines are designed to support tracked military vehicles operating in demanding conditions. Deliveries under the contract are scheduled to begin in mid-2027.
According to RENK America, the award may lead to a longer-term agreement for additional AVDS-1790 engines. Such a contract would further extend the company’s cooperation with the U.S. Army.
The company said it worked closely with the customer to address the timing and urgency of the requirement. As a result, the order was advanced in the production schedule to meet operational needs.
RENK America noted that the decision was made despite the company’s engine production line already operating at full capacity. The production schedule was adjusted in order to accelerate deliveries and respond to mission demands.
Corey Johnson, chief executive officer of RENK America, said readiness remains a central focus for the company. He stated: “Our team understands how critical readiness is.”
Johnson added that the company’s ability to respond quickly to operational requirements is a key part of its approach. He said: “Flexibility to mobilize quickly and deliver reliable solutions – no matter the challenge – is what sets our organization apart.”
He also emphasized the company’s long-standing relationship with the U.S. Army. Johnson stated: “We are proud to support the Army’s mission and continue RENK America’s longstanding legacy as a trusted partner in safeguarding America’s defense.”
RENK Group said the contract follows a year of record financial performance reported for fiscal year 2025. The company said the results reflect sustained demand for proven defense mobility solutions.
With decades of experience supplying the U.S. military, RENK America continues to focus on providing mobility technologies for tracked vehicles. The company said its products are designed to support operational readiness and performance across global defense missions.
