AERO Vodochody Aerospace reported the best financial results in its modern history in 2025, with revenue rising 8% year on year to nearly CZK 6.5 billion, or about EUR 269 million. Profit before tax increased from CZK 102 million, or about EUR 4.2 million, to a record CZK 512 million, or EUR 21.2 million.

The result represented a 402% increase in pre-tax profit. Adjusted EBITDA rose by CZK 291 million, or EUR 12 million, to CZK 1.1 billion, or about EUR 45.5 million, a year-on-year increase of 35%.

“Year 2025 was an exceptional year for AERO. We achieved a record profit, more than doubled our operating result, EBITDA exceeded the CZK 1 billion mark, approximately EUR 41.4 million, and we delivered the highest number of Skyfox aircraft to customers in a single year in the history of the program,” says Viktor Sotona, President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of AERO.

“Today, the company stands on strong foundations: its own aircraft with global export potential, a growing services business, and long-term programs for the world’s leading aircraft manufacturers,” he adds. AERO said its audited 2025 results confirmed its strongest financial performance in its modern history.

The L-39 Skyfox programme remained the company’s largest segment in 2025. Revenues from the programme reached CZK 3.8 billion, or EUR 157.3 million, accounting for 58% of AERO’s total revenues.

During the year, AERO completed and delivered a record 14 Skyfox aircraft to customers. The company said the aircraft is now among the most versatile in its category.

“We are seeing strong interest from a number of countries, we are in final negotiations with several potential customers, and in the coming weeks we are preparing to announce new orders that will bring Skyfox to new continents,” adds Viktor Sotona. The company said even small deliveries in some regions could carry strategic importance.

“In some regions, even deliveries in the lower single digits are of major strategic importance to us. Skyfox’s entry into the African and North American continents alone will significantly increase its visibility in these markets, attract the attention of additional potential customers, and open the way for future deliveries,” Sotona adds.

AERO has introduced an armed version of the L-39 Skyfox compatible with NATO standards, which premiered at Dubai Airshow 2025. The company said the armed version responds to current security needs and can perform airspace protection missions, including deployment against unmanned aerial vehicles.

Aerostructures was the company’s second most important segment in 2025. Revenues in the civil cooperation programme increased by 24% year on year to CZK 1.7 billion, or EUR 70.3 million.

The segment is based mainly on programmes for Embraer and Airbus. AERO said it recorded record production and delivery volumes in both programmes.

Under the Airbus A220 programme, AERO manufactured and delivered 100 wing leading edge assemblies. The company also advanced to the role of Tier-1 partner, meaning a direct supplier, which it described as a significant milestone in its position in the global aerospace industry.

Under the Embraer C-390 programme, AERO delivered nearly seven complete shipsets of structural assemblies for the military transport aircraft. The company said the civil programmes are becoming an increasingly important pillar of its business.

“Civil programs are an increasingly important pillar of our business. Year-on-year growth of one quarter confirms the high level of trust that global manufacturers place in our capabilities, quality, and delivery reliability,” adds Viktor Sotona.

“Thanks to these programs, AERO is firmly establishing itself in both the European and global aerospace industry,” adds Viktor Sotona. The company said the segment strengthens its role in supply chains for leading aircraft manufacturers.

AERO also reported significant growth in military programmes, overhauls, modernisation and operational support. The MRO/FOSS segment generated revenues of CZK 1.062 billion, or EUR 43.9 million, representing year-on-year growth of 22%.

The segment includes overhauls of L-39 and L-159 aircraft, airworthiness support and maintenance services for customers in the Czech Republic and abroad. In 2025, AERO completed aircraft overhauls for the Bulgarian Air Force and continued support for Draken’s fleet.

Towards the end of the year, AERO signed a multi-year contract with the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic for overhauls of L-159 aircraft in the T1/T2 versions. The company said support for aircraft already in service remains a strategic part of its business.

“Overhauls, modernization, and operational support for our own aircraft are a strategic area for AERO. They show that we are not only a manufacturer of new aircraft, but also a long-term partner to our customers, capable of taking care of their equipment throughout its entire life cycle,” adds Viktor Sotona.

AERO said its 2025 results show that the company is built on three complementary pillars. Skyfox provides an in-house product with global export potential, MRO/FOSS supports long-term customer relationships and recurring orders, and Aerostructures gives stability and access to major aerospace supply chains.

“AERO today is not just a company with a single product. We have a very strong program built around our own aircraft, stable cooperation programs for global manufacturers, and a steadily growing area of aircraft repairs and modernizations.”

“This combination gives us a strong foundation for further growth and confirms that AERO is back among the respected players in the global aerospace industry,” concludes Viktor Sotona. The company said these three areas also open opportunities for cooperation on other major aerospace projects.
