ASELSAN did not disclose the customer, the systems being supplied or the delivery schedule. It also withheld the buyer’s identity when announcing a separate export agreement in October.
Turkish media have suggested that the latest customer could be a Gulf state, although this remains unconfirmed. Countries in the region have been expanding their air defences following the conflict between the United States and Iran and operations by Houthi rebels.
The company booked $4.9 billion in contracts during the first half of 2026, an increase of 72% compared with the same period in 2025. The new agreement comes as ASELSAN continues to expand its position in the international defence market.
A substantial share of the company’s profits is being reinvested in production capacity and research and development. ASELSAN ranks among the world’s 40 largest defence manufacturers.
