On January 17, the Bulgarian company Terem – Tsar Samuil officially opened the production line of the 122 mm high-explosive artillery rounds.

The production line was opened by Bulgarian minister of defense Dimitar Stoyanov. The Terem – Tsar Samuil company is a subsidiary of  Terem Holding, owned by the Bulgarian Ministry of Defence.

The Terem – Tsar Samuil company has the experience and know-how in the production of 122 mm artillery ammunition. From 1984 to 1988, the company produced this ammunition, but the production line was closed.

The 122 mm high-explosive artillery ammunition produced by Terem – Tsar Samuil is intended for post-Soviet artillery systems such as the 2S1 Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer and the D-30 towed howitzer.

The new production is executed by the method of driving the explosive substance into the grenade body with the implementation of highly efficient technologies, the company said.

According to the manager of Terem – Tsar Smauil Ivan Stoyakov, there is a very high demand for this type of products on the defence market.
