The contract for a total of 48 aircraft – 12 FA-50 training and combat variants, and 36 FA-50PL light combat variants – was signed on 16th September 2022.
The first two aircraft are expected to be delivered to Poland by the end of July, with the remaining ten to be delivered by the end of the current year.
Subsequently, the aircraft will undergo a modification process to reach the intended FA-50PL Block 20 standard.
As of now, the new configuration is set to include Raytheon PhantomStrike radar stations and the capability to utilize Lockheed Martin AN/AAQ-33 Sniper observation and targeting pods.
