IDE expands collaboration with Diehl Defence on IRIS-T missile system

By Defence Industry Europe

Greek defence company Intracom Defense (IDE) has secured a new contract with Diehl Defence for the development of an advanced communication link system for the IRIS-T missile. The system will enhance secure, long-range, multidirectional communication between ground and air units.

The new communication system is designed to operate under extreme environmental conditions. It will feature high data transmission rates, robust anti-jamming capabilities, and improved performance for medium- and long-range operations.

This contract follows two years of close collaboration between IDE and Diehl Defence. The initial phase involved analysing system requirements and conducting technical feasibility studies to ensure effective implementation.

IDE’s Chief Executive Officer, George Troullinos, expressed pride in the partnership. He highlighted that working with Diehl Defence on such a critical component of a world-class missile system is a significant achievement for the company.
