MilDef’s role in this project involves delivering advanced IT equipment for operator stations within the CV90s, a versatile armoured vehicle selected by several NATO countries in Central Europe. The equipment will play a critical role in modernising these vehicles, enhancing their digital capabilities for the demanding conditions of modern combat.
The collaboration marks a continuation of MilDef’s longstanding partnership with BAE Systems Hägglunds, a relationship built on shared expertise and commitment to cutting-edge defence solutions. The CV90 platform, developed by BAE Systems Hägglunds in Örnsköldsvik, has established a strong track record with proven effectiveness in conflicts across Afghanistan and Ukraine. With deployments in 10 countries, the CV90 is regarded as one of the leading armoured vehicles worldwide.
Peter Sedin, Production and Purchasing Director at BAE Systems Hägglunds, also praised the cooperation, noting, “We have worked with MilDef for many years, and we value the cooperative and solution-oriented attitude that exists in the partnership.” Sedin further emphasized the importance of reliable partners like MilDef in fulfilling BAE’s commitments to their customers.
