Moroccan authorities have requested the purchase of 612 FGM-148F Javelin missiles (including 12 for test firing and training) along with 200 LWLCU command and launch units. The U.S. approval, by the way, also includes mock-up missiles, support equipment, tools, manuals, documentation, personnel training, and logistical support.
The Javelin Joint Venture, formed by Lockheed Martin and Raytheon, will be the prime contractor for the order. The armament will help replace the oldest types of anti-tank missiles used by the Moroccans and complement newer systems, such as Israel’s Spike missiles, Ukrainian Stugna-P, and Russian Kornet.
