On 24 March 2023, the OCCAR-EA Director Joachim Sucker and the representatives of Indra Sistemas, Elettronica Spa and Hensoldt Sensors signed the Linked Procurement Contract (LPC) for the Airborne Electronic Warfare project, named Responsive Electronic Attack for Cooperative Task (REACT).

The contract is assuring the national funding of the project which also benefits from a Grant Agreement (GA) that is directly managed by the European Commission. Swedish company SAAB takes part in the project and will be involved in the contract in the near future.

The scope of the REACT project is the definition of an airborne electronic attack capability and architecture. Some design products will be delivered but the focus is on research and development activities.

The target is to evaluate different technologies through simulations and a demonstrator in order to reduce the risk for the future development and production.

This new OCCAR programme involves Germany, Spain and Italy as Participating States and will be managed within the Small Programmes Programme Division (SP PD) in the OCCAR site in Bonn.
