QinetiQ US secures USD 42 million contract to advance U.S. Army sensor technology

QinetiQ US has been awarded a USD 42 million, four-year task order to support the U.S. Army's modernization efforts by developing advanced intelligent sensor processing and imaging technologies. The contract was granted under the Responsive Strategic Sourcing for Services (RS3) Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) agreement to enhance the capabilities of the Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) C5ISR Center's Research & Technology Integration (RTI) Directorate.

 

The project focuses on creating next-generation capabilities in intelligent sensor processing, optics technologies, and advanced image processing systems. QinetiQ US will deliver innovations such as Aided Target Recognition (AiTR), enhanced signal processing algorithms, and new software applications while integrating and testing these advancements in dedicated testbeds.

“This award reflects QinetiQ’s commitment to advancing sensor technology innovation while directly supporting the Army’s critical modernization priorities,” stated Jonathan Riksen, executive vice president and general manager of QinetiQ US’ National & Global Security Solutions division. The effort aligns with key Army initiatives, including the Next Generation Combat Vehicle, Future Vertical Lift, and Soldier Lethality programs.
