Rear Admiral Thomas Engevall joins the board of Micropol Fiberoptic

Rear Admiral Thomas Engevall has during his active military career been Chief of Defence Logistics and CIO in the Swedish Armed Forces. He retired from active duty in 2022 as Chief of Staff and Deputy National Armaments Director at the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) and is now a reserve officer at the Swedish Armed Forces Defence Staff.

In addition, he acts as an advisor and board member for companies within the defence and security sector. He has a M.Sc. in Naval Architecture from Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg.

Micropol Fiberoptic, that was founded by Gerd and Anders Andersson in 1988, is head quartered in Åled outside Halmstad, Sweden, and employs 33 professionals. International sales offices are located in Stuttgart, Germany and in Edgewater outside Washington, USA. The company turnover was 66,6 MSEK (6,0 MEUR) in 2022 out of which 28% was delivered to markets outside Sweden. AB Micropol Fiberoptic is part of Halmstad based Pamica Group AB.
