The Russian defence conglomerate said the drones combine low observability, extended flight range and high speed. The platforms have also been developed with different wing configurations.
“In modern armed conflicts, drones have become not only the ‘eyes’ of other combat systems but also one of the principal means of attack,” a Rostec representative said. “Rostec specialists have created a family of universal platforms designed for use from fifth-generation fighters and capable of performing a wide range of missions.”
“During the world premiere in Egypt, we will present the new systems together with the Russian fifth-generation Su-57E aircraft,” the representative said. Rostec did not provide further details about the drones’ missions, performance or launch arrangements.
The aircraft will form part of a unified Russian exhibition organised by state arms exporter Rosoboronexport. The El Alamein International Airshow will take place at the city’s international airport from 8 to 10 September.
