Sweden is now a member of NATO. The Chief of Defence and commander of Sweden´s armed forces, general Micael Bydén, has made the following statement.

Sweden is now a member of NATO. The Chief of Defence and commander of Sweden´s armed forces, general Micael Bydén, has made the following statement.

 

“We fully support all aspects of the Washington Treaty as well as the the Alliance´s Strategic Concept, and we are fully committed to all aspects of Collective Defense in accordance with article 5 of the Treaty,” says general Micael Bydén.
