Patria said it has signed an agreement with Pratt & Whitney for the final assembly of the first F135 fighter jet engines in Finland. Production has already started and will run until 2030 at Patria’s new assembly and maintenance facility in Linnavuori, Nokia.

The Finnish Defence Forces have begun measures to acquire anti-personnel landmines and to launch related training after Finland’s withdrawal from the Ottawa Anti-Personnel Landmines Convention took effect on 10 January. The decision allows the Defence Forces to plan, procure and train for anti-personnel landmine capability as part of regular engineer materiel development projects.
