Finland’s Savox Communications has signed a multi-year agreement to support the IMP Intercom System used by the Swedish Armed Forces. The agreement covers spare parts, repairs and development work to keep installed systems available, effective and maintainable throughout their service lives.

The deal extends cooperation on a communication platform designed to accommodate changing operational requirements. Its modular design allows technology upgrades and helps manage obsolete components without replacing the entire system.

“Sustaining operational capability throughout a platform’s lifecycle is a critical requirement for defense organizations,” said Jerry Kettunen, chief executive of Savox Communications. The agreement combines support for equipment already in service with continued development to meet future needs.

“This agreement underlines the long-term nature of defense capability development and the importance of lifecycle support in maintaining mission-critical communication systems. By providing repair services, spare parts and continuous development support, Savox helps ensure that communication capabilities remain available, effective and aligned with future operational needs.”

The Savox IMP is a modular, fully digital intercom and communication platform for defence and public safety applications. Its open architecture supports the integration of radios, communications equipment and mission systems.

Savox also offers technical support, maintenance, spare parts management, training and future development services as part of its broader lifecycle business. The company says these services help customers maintain readiness, extend equipment life and preserve the value of existing investments.
